Vision Statement
Vision
At Surfside, we work towards establishing a "Learning Culture" in which students find schooling:
- worthwhile,
- challenging and
- enjoyable.
This "Learning Culture"
- focuses on personal growth and development
- builds lifelong attitudes to learning
- empowers learners through the development of self awareness, reflective thinking and effective learning,
- a strong sense of self worth and inner direction,
- responsibility for themselves and a sense of responsibility to others, and
- goal-setting to improve their own learning.
Values
The Surfside Primary School VISION is based on the following values .

2. An intrinsic motivation to learn
- Enthusiasm for learning with self satisfaction promoted as a worthy goal
- Learners who willingly participate in extra curricular (elective) activities. e.g. band, choir, sports, and hobbies - for enjoyment

- Adults and children who show a positive outlook in their words and actions
- People who see problems as a chance to learn
4. Mutual Respect
- Adults and children who:
- are able to function effectively as part of a team, showing respect and tolerance to all
- show active consideration of others within both the school and the broader community
